Icewind
Farther north than Hulneth, where the inland lake's icy waters lapped against the shore, stood the village of Issvindr. The name, given by the village's founders, meant Icewind in the old tongue, a testament to the biting gales that howled down from the unseen vastness of the Arctic wilderness. Issvindr was a place of hardy trappers and hunters, their homes built low to the ground in the manner of Torvaldsland. Smoke would curl from the central longhouse, where the village's heartfire burned, a beacon of warmth in the depths of the long, dark winters. <Read Me>
Overlook
The Overlook stood as a testament to the unforgiving power of the north. Jutting out from the rocky face of the cliffs, it offered a commanding view of the icy shoreline below. The wind howled through its empty halls, a mournful cry that echoed off the stone walls. No one knew what had become of the people who once called The Overlook home. Some said they had been driven out by the harsh conditions, forced to flee south in search of more hospitable lands. Hulneth
In the days of its prime, Hulneth stood as a beacon of vitality, nestled where the icy waters of the northernmost inland sea lapped against the shore. The town clung to the rugged coastline, its buildings crafted from the weathered timbers of ancient trees, their wooden longhouses echoing the designs of a seafaring people. Roofs thatched with a thick layering of thatch blended seamlessly into the snow-shrouded pine forests, as if the very town itself were an outcropping of the wilderness. <Read Me>
Vargrheim
South of Hulneth, nestled along the shores of the northern lake known as Vargrheim's Bite, stood a small yet vibrant fishing village.
