Application

We do not require an application. However, if you are not registered in our discord we will be unable to contact you for moderation and will be obligated to block your game access until you reach out to us. Please consider registering, but only after you have completed the in-game character creation process.

Race

Players are expected to play a race commiserate with their role-play experience. Those New to Gor should choose to play as an Earthling or Hyborian person native to the island. Those who choose to play as Goreans will be expected to know the fiction.

Our server offers three "races" for players to choose from; Gorean, Hyborian and Earthling. (These races are less actual races and more references to geographical locations like we might say Asian or European.)

• Goreans are those characters who were born on the mainland of Gor which includes the large continent and surrounding islands represented in the book series by John Norman.
• Hyborians are those characters who were also born on the planet of Gor but specifically from an unknown region of the planet generally referred to as World's End by the Gorean mainlanders. These Hyborians are the descendants of humans taken from Earth's far history, more then 10,000 years ago.
• Earthlings are those characters taken from modern day earth to be brought to Gor primarily to become slaves.

You can register on Discord in the #register-here-season-2 channel. You do not need to wait for approval. You can log in immediately and we will set your tags when you do.

Character Name

Character Race (Your character race has to match what you select during character creation. Please note you can NOT have a character born to any land from the Conan series.)

Birth/Arrival (Where and when was your character born and how did they get to this island.)

Your funcom ID is necessary for the registration process. The Steam ID that is most people think of as the steam id isn't actually reliable as a way to verify/check/friend a person. To be able to accurately white list you I do need your Funcom ID.

Setting Status

After you have posted your registration I will set your status to your race in Discord and then once you log in white list you on the server.

No Application, But Why?

In general, servers either have applications or they do not. Again, generally, this means either that the server is very strict to the lore and white listed or open to anyone and casual about the fiction. However, the tradition in Gorean role-play communities is to not to have applications but to be equally strict on the fiction. We are no exception. Let's talk about what that means to those who are new to Gor.

It means that we do not expect you to digest the lore of 30+ books in an afternoon or even in a month so that you can write a lore accurate backstory that will pass approval. However, it does mean that we do expect you to learn as you go and ADAPT as you go.

If you have played on a BtB Gorean Server for more then a year you already understand that this is an unforgiving fiction and have taken your lumps and learned from them - or quit, swearing never to return. If you have never played on a BtB Gorean Server there are some points that you may not be prepared for.

• If you have a detailed character backstory, developed persona, and expectations for your role-play, you are probably going to be both off page and disappointed.
• If you think this is like other "application free servers" and you can just wing it and no one will mind, you are going to be frustrated.
• If you think you have the right to tell your story and the right to approve what does and doesn't happen to your character, you are going to be in for a shock.
• If your idea is to save/free all the slaves or start a revolution, you are going to be disappointed.

This is your warning

Gorean role-players, both in character and out of character, have no patience with other players who are dismissive or derisive of the fiction. And when I mean no patience, I mean that they will kill your avatar just to get rid of you in the role-play or block/mute/ban you OOC to shut you up.

The only VIABLE option is to enter this community with the desire to learn about Gor - nothing else will work.

Season Four

Season Four has began. We are in the process of upgrading our educational offerings, streamlining the application process, and onboarding new players. As always the wiki is a work in progress. As of Jul 9th, a significant re-organization was made.
