...1.

Our main goal for season three is to strongly encourage players to role-play within a centralized location. To that end, we are offering one main role-play hub with three cultural districts. Additionally, we have centralized the crafting into the main hub and players will need to go into town to craft.

  • Harvest Rates have been increased to base game.
  • Crafting Times have been reduced to base game.
  • Crafting Costs have been reduced to base game.
  • Thrall and Pet times have been increased over that of base game.
  • Item Spoil Rate has been set to the lowest possible setting.

The town of Vargor near Telith's Island has all of the base game and Shani's crafting benches. There are more then enough for everyone to use.

However, some crafting stations can only be used by the clan you are in. These include the wheels of pain, the fashionist bench, and the dismantling bench. These, along with a few others, stables, camp fires, and clan benches are available for you to craft or purchase from the vendor in the doc area.

Additionally, those resource producing stations like the Emberlight pens and all planters, have been removed to encourage players to gather their resources and avoid stock piling.

Living off the Land

We recognize that there will always be those players who want to go off and do their own thing. Because we have one centralized hub with the only crafting tables, players who want to do this will have to learn to live off the land.

Unlike season one and season two the settings for season three are significantly easier. Not only can you get to level 60 right away, you have basic items for purchase in the 00C area, as well as free build kits.

This leaves very little that needs to be crafted that can’t be acquired from hunting.

You can cook and craft tools. And while the tools are stone tools, they will be serviceable in season three with the increased harvest rates, reduced crafting costs, and free build kits.

NPC animals, monsters and humanoids drop on death more than just meat and skin - armor, weapons, consumables, and more can be gathered off their bodies and broken down in a dismantling bench - which is one of the “crafting stations” you can have.

As are the wheel of pains and stables for the breaking of thralls, and raising of mounts and pets.

That leaves only a few things that you need to trade with the town for - mostly placeable deco items and repair kits.

Weapons and armor, including everything on your toolbar, will no longer drop on death. So the need to *continually* replace these items has been eliminated.

However, as groups living off the land, you have access to high-end hides, furs, meat, ichor, brimstone, gold, etc as well as legendary weapons. This gives you valuable game resources to bring into your trade RP.
